Mount System

Mount System Overview

Mount System

In the realm of Armia, certain animals have been domesticated as valuable companions and reliable forms of transportation. As humanity's reach expanded, these mounts became essential for travel and combat, giving rise to a booming trade in mount taming and sales. This guide covers everything players need to know about acquiring, raising, and using mounts effectively.

Mount Types and Benefits

  • Mount Variety: There are 8 types of animal species and 10 different horse breeds that players can ride.
  • Stat Enhancements: Mounts provide various benefits, including improved attack power, magical attack, movement speed, and evasion. The strength of these benefits depends on the type and growth stage of the mount.

Below is a table displaying various mounts with their images and descriptions.

Growth System

Growth System

Mounts start as eggs and must be developed to their full potential. Players use specialized powders to aid this transformation from egg to foal and eventually to a fully grown mount.

  • Incubation: To hatch a mount egg, use "Oriharukon Powder" or "Laktorerium Powder."
  • Experience-Based Growth: Mounts gain experience by killing monsters, which gradually increases their power and size. Growth stages unlock higher stats, making the mount more effective in combat.

Equipping and Monitoring Mounts

  • Equipping Mounts: Mounts are equipped through the Equipment Menu, where all related stats (like hunger, HP, and experience) are displayed.
  • Health Tracking: When riding, your mount’s HP is shown on the screen in an orange bar. Monitoring this bar ensures you keep your mount in optimal condition.

Egg Hatching Process

Critical Incubation

  • Powder Requirements: Each mount type has specific powder requirements to reach "critical incubation" and hatch successfully.
  • Hatching Time: The "Hatching Expectation Time" represents the cooldown period before another incubation attempt, calculated only while the egg is in your inventory.

Hatchling Stats and Requirements

  • Life Span: Each newly hatched mount has a random life span value between 10-30. If its life span reaches 0, the mount can no longer be revived.
  • Physical Strength: If this stat reaches 0, the mount will collapse and become unusable until revived by a "Mount Master."
  • Level Cap: Mounts grow from level 1 to 100, requiring experience from monster battles to level up. At level 100, the mount reaches its full potential.

Training Zones Guide

This table lists the recommended monsters for training based on your Mount’s level range. Each monster provides ideal experience for efficient leveling up to a certain level.

Monster Recommended Level Range
Gremlin, Crill Up to level 15
Gremlin King Up to level 25
Half Orc Up to level 42
Dragon Puppy Up to level 45
Troll Up to level 60
Chaos Troll, Fallen Troll Up to levels 69/70
Taurs King Up to level 100

Feeding and Maintaining Mounts

Mounts require regular feeding to sustain their physical strength and health. Hunger levels deplete over time, and if left unfed, the mount becomes unusable.

  • Feeding Mechanics: Feed is available in Erion town and varies by mount type, consuming -2 to -4 points per hour.
  • Experience Gain: Mounts gain experience by hunting monsters of equal or higher level, increasing their strength and abilities.

Maturity and Mounting

Once a mount reaches level 100, it becomes ridable. Maturity provides the mount with boosted stats and solidifies its role in combat.

  • Growth Potions: These are used to raise a mount's level to 100, though there’s a chance of failure with each attempt. Failures lower the mount’s life span.
  • Maturity Benefits: Mature mounts provide additional bonuses like increased damage absorption, magic attack, and defense, which remain consistent across levels.

Reviving and Repairing Mounts

When a mount’s health reaches 0 or it dies due to starvation or player death, it can be revived.

  • Revival Process: Visit the "Mount Master" in Erion to revive your mount at a cost, restoring it to full health and a minimum hunger level.
  • Life Deduction: Each revival may reduce the mount’s life span by 0-3 points randomly.

Mount Attributes and Special Stats

Each mount has distinct attributes and stats that impact gameplay. Below are explanations of each stat and how it affects mount performance.

  • Feed Value: Maximum hunger level, which depletes over time. Refilling this is essential to keep the mount usable.
  • Life Span: If this value reaches 0, the mount can no longer be revived.
  • Physical Strength (HP): Represents the mount’s health. If it reaches 0, the mount becomes incapacitated.
  • Revival Cost: The amount of gold required to revive a dead mount in Erion.
  • Damage Increase and Magic Attack: Ridable mounts offer increased attack and magic power that applies while the mount is active.
  • Avoidance and Resistance: The mount adds a fixed amount of evasion and resistance to the player, unaffected by level changes.
  • Damage Absorption: This feature lets the mount absorb 25% of incoming damage, reducing the damage dealt to the player.
  • Speed: The movement speed of the mount can be toggled between walking and running with the "R" shortcut key.
